Inside Sales/Product Specialist – Montreal

Location: Montreal (Onsite)

Role

As an Inside Sales Representative, the successful candidate will be responsible with the quotation activities, order processing, customer service activities, follow-ups and some other office tasks.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • College Engineering degree in instrumentation, automation or electrical
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar position of technical sales or inside sales
  • Excellent bilingual (French and English) verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MSOffice and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and automation products
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Extremely organized, strong time management and problem solving skills
  • Punctual
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to develop and nurture long-term relationships with customers

Duties

  • Provide customers with the appropriate information concerning prices, deliveries and technical specifications
  • Offer expert advice to clients in their choices of technologies and components
  • Assess customers’ needs and develop proposals accordingly
  • Perform technical research, in order to offer the best solution to the customer
  • Ensure that products meet the requirements of plans & specifications
  • Create quotations in the CRM system, in collaboration with external Sales Representative and Product/Sales Managers
  • Ensure pricing is in line with company’s policies and objectives while keeping in mind the competition
  • Process purchase orders and issue order confirmations
  • Provide technical support to clients
  • Develop good relationships with customers to maintain and grow sales
  • Act as liaison between customers and our different internal departments in order to efficiently solve customers’ problems.
  • Assist with keeping up to date our CRM system and database
  • Stay up to date with knowledge pertaining to new products and technologies
  • Attend training sessions given by suppliers

Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates will possess a College Certificate in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation
  • Strong Electro-Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with automation devices including HMIs, PLCs, sensors and VFDs
  • Familiar with process instrumentation including level, pressure, temperature and flow transmitters and switches, and an understanding of process automation controllers
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Duties

  • Perform technical services, including mechanical work using drills, saws and lathes, as well as assembling manufactured products
  • Conduct field service calibration and verification work at customer locations
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by Management
